My Final Poster for 'Se7en Devils' and How it Incorporates Conventions of Posters and Genre

Here is the final poster for my film, incorporating many of the conventions I found when analysing posters (including those from the horror genre) during my research and planning.

The title of the film

The billing, with production company logos and social media

Release date

In addition to this I have made reference to the horror genre by using the following elements:

• Colour scheme of red, black and white
• Reference to other horror films
• Font
• Review from a magazine associated with the genre
• Language in the review that indicates genre
• A director who frequently works within the genre
• A tagline that is threatening and reflects the genre
• Production companies that are associated with making films from the genre
• Low-key lighting on the image
• The 'monster' character type
