Choosing the Music for the Trailers for 'Se7en Devils'
In my trailers I will need to use a range of music that fits the genre, but which also reinforces the narrative events on screen. From my research I have found that most horror films use creepy and unsettling non-diegetic music, to scare the audience and to set the tone for the movie. Often, this music uses lots of string instruments and little percussion.
Here is my earlier post on music in the horror genre.
I have made a Spotify playlist of the potential music I will use in my trailers.

The reason I have chosen these songs is because they all help create the intended effect of my film, which is to scare and unsettle the audience, and indicate the threat that lies within the house (signalling the danger the group will be in when they go there). Each of the pieces of music use high-pitched piano or violins to accentuate the sinister effect.
I have also included some songs that do not fit this description, but rather may suit the plot of my film, particularly when there are shots of the old house.
Here is one of the songs I have chosen.
