Analysing Horror Film Trailers - Introduction

Now that I have chosen my genre, I am going to look at a range of marketing materials from the horror genre to analyse the ways that genre influences the content and aesthetic of trailers, posters and social media content.

I am going to start by looking at a number of trailers for horror films, before focusing on posters and social media sites.

I will be looking at the trailers for the following films:

'The Conjuring'

'Happy Death Day'

'Midsommar'
