Analysing Horror Trailers - Conclusion
Horror film trailers use all of the elements that I noticed when analysing trailers (such as including production company idents, using titles cards for the cast, crew and name of the film, including taglines and social media links, a release date and credits at the end), but it is always clear that each elements has been influenced by the genre.
The fonts used, the music, types of shots and even the editing, are all reflective of genre, and the trailers introduce settings and character types that are typical of the genre.
With my trailers, which I think will be a teaser trailer and a TV spot, I will include the general conventions of those types of trailers, and ensure that it is clear that my film belongs to the horror genre by including the elements I have discovered over the last three posts and during my broader research into the horror genre.
